  • Q. How will you get my debtor to respond to you, when he won’t respond to me?

    A.  National Collections is a licensed and bonded Debt Collector and our letterhead states this.  The information has immediate visual impact. We can state that we are Debt Collectors, where you cannot. The typical perception of this is Debt Collector – Bad Credit Rating.

  • Q. How can I check the credit worthiness of a potential client, before I grant them credit?

    A. Once you register with National Collections for one of our annual packages, you will receive information regarding registration to Equifax. This is for all your credit reporting and default listing for unpaid debts. Equifax is a data analytics business. They are the leading provider of credit information and analysis in Australia and New Zealand. If you have a bad credit rating, it is listed with Equifax.

  • Q. When do I hand my debt over to a debt collector?

    A. When an account has exceeded your terms of trade it can be handed over for collection.

  • Q. Do I contact the debtor once I hand the debt over for collection?

    A. Once your account is handed over to your Account Manager for collection, do not contact your debtor. However if your client/debtor makes payment or contacts you direct, make sure your Account Manager is aware. This information will assist in keeping your file up to date and avoid any confusion which may arise.
